Our Terms and Conditions
In order to help you budget for your event, please also consider
the following:
1.
All Kingfisher wedding menus attract service charges for both
the waiting staff and service during your function and additional
charges for the delivery, set up, clearance and travel. These
will be dependent on your venue location and guest numbers.
All charges will be made clear in our quotation and fully explained
prior to your event. Please note that all menus and service
charges (including staffing) are subject to VAT.
Every function we undertake, no matter how large or small,
is given a formal written quote and subject to any changes
made by you, we will never add any costs or charges that have
not been agreed with you beforehand.
2.
If you are having hot food prepared at your venue and there
are no cooking facilities available (or they are very limited),
we may have to make additional charges for any special
heavy cooking or catering equipment. As a general rule
we will visit the venue with you to discuss facilities
and any limitations in respect of menu choices or specific
aspects of catering on the day. Where possible we will
try and utilise Kingfishers own equipment pool to ensure
that no unnecessary costs are incurred.
3.
Prices as indicated in our wedding menu selections do not
include the following:
Furniture (Tables & Chairs Etc)
Linen
Crockery & Cutlery Hire (with return dirty service)
Glassware
Any breakages/ losses will need to
be paid for at our “replacement” prices
and again dependent on overall requirements there is
a security deposit required against glass hire, which is
fully refundable (after any deductions that may be required)
Waiting Staff
Every event is different and may need more or less staff dependent
on the style of food, the demands of your guests and the
numbers of courses available as well as the layout of the
marquee etc.
Some basic staff costs, including the general kitchen staff
teams have already been contributed to within our menu prices
and there are fixed charges for front of house and kitchen
management and Chefs that will be highlighted in your quotation.
Our general staff pricing policy is to set a fixed fee per
member of waiting staff to cover the service period @ £72.00
per session. Unless required by you to stay beyond a normal
shift to undertake specially requested duties, no additional
charges should be incurred.
Payment
Orders are not confirmed or booked in our diary until we have
received a holding deposit and confirmation in writing against
our written quotation.
Our payment schedule is as follows:
Events more than 6 months away 10% deposit
Less than 6 months 25%
We request that 50% of your total bill, including any additional
charges and the proportional VAT be paid 90 days before the
event, with our account being required to be settled in full
at least 7 days before we undertake catering services on your
behalf.
Any miscellaneous charges or costs incurred against variable
costs (such as beverages on Sale or Return) will be invoiced
after the event and should be paid within 14 days.
Kingfisher Caterers, under certain circumstances, may be prepared
to amend payment terms to suit individual requirements, subject
to discussion and written confirmation beforehand.
Kingfisher Caterers is pleased to be
able to accept all major credit cards for there is a 1.5% charge
to cover bank and administration costs.
